Life Story

Sammy Mwaura Njau was born on 24th April 1953 at Kijabe Mission Hospital, the third son of the late Njau and the late Elikipa Waceke. He was a beloved brother to The Late Benson Kiarie, The Late Samuel Mwangi Njau, Teressia Wambui, The Late Hiram Muna, Elizabeth Njeri, Karen Nduta Njau, and Joyce Mwihaki Njau. Raised in the tranquil hills of Kijabe, Mwaura's early life instilled in him a spirit of service, humility, and devotion that would define the rest of his years. Mwaura began his education at Kirima Kimwe primary School, and later attended Karatina Boys High School. His educational journey nurtured a strong intellectual curiosity and moral grounding. Mwaura's early adult life was marked by service as a missionary translator in Turkana with Daystar, addressing both spiritual and intellectual needs in underserved communities. He continued supporting Daystar University into his early career. He also worked at Wilson Airport with Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) as an Assistant Manager, where he coordinated logistics and offered dependable service to missionaries across the region. Later, he served as a driver to Kenneth Matiba, a prominent politician and founder of Ford Asili, participating closely in Kenya's political landscape. He then transitioned to Mombasa, managing the transportation of newly purchased vehicles to Nairobi—a role he fulfilled with commitment and excellence until his retirement. In retirement, Mwaura became a respected real estate broker in Lower Kabete and Spring Valley, known for his honesty, extensive network, and dependable service
